Accelerate2030 is a global multi-stakeholder program with the mission to support ventures that contribute towards the SDGs to scale their impact. It was founded by the Impact Hub Network in partnership with UNDP.
What is Accelerate 2030 - Rwanda ?
Accelerate2030 Rwanda is a scale-readiness program consisting of a bootcamp, workshops, coaching, online support and strategic connections.
Accelerate2030 – Rwanda identifies the most innovative youth-led startups in Rwanda tackling the Sustainable Development Goals, and supports them to scale their impact nationally, regionally and globally.
Through the Scale Readiness program, we enable you to shape and implement your scaling strategy. We build a program based on your specific needs and connect you with experts, mentors, and partners with the mission to scale your impact.
Accelerate2030 Rwanda: Key Achievements
Empowering Youth-Led Ventures Nationwide
Through extensive outreach and targeted informational sessions, the program reached young entrepreneurs across Rwanda, including those outside Kigali, ensuring diverse and inclusive participation.
Building Scale-Ready Ventures
Over 35 youth-led ventures participated in an intensive preparation phase, culminating in a transformative in-person bootcamp. This experience provided hands-on training, expert-led workshops, and actionable insights, resulting in the selection of 12 top-performing ventures ready to scale.
Personalized Coaching and Mentorship
The selected ventures benefited from 2.5 months of tailored coaching and mentorship, gaining access to industry experts, strategic connections, and critical resources that helped refine their solutions for greater impact.
Showcasing Rwanda's Innovation
The program concluded with an inspiring Demo Day, where ventures presented their innovations to a distinguished jury. Three outstanding teams were selected to represent Rwanda on the global Accelerate2030 platform, proudly showcasing the country’s innovative potential on an international stage.
2021 Focus Areas
Accelerate2030 Rwanda supported youth-led solutions to any SDG. Particularly, we were looking at solutions that are related to SDGs 7, 11, 12, 13, & 15, with the aim of contributing to the sustainable transformation of the country.

Venture Spotlight : AFIA Group
AFIA Group was among the top 15 ventures globally selected for Accelerate2030, chosen from over 250 ventures across 20+ countries. The team participated in the Global Scaling Week in Geneva, coinciding with Building Bridges Week, where they pitched and spoke at high-profile events, connecting with leaders in sustainable finance and international development.
Following this milestone, AFIA Group began a six-month scaling program, gaining mentorship and resources to amplify their impact globally—an inspiring success story of innovation from Rwanda.

Selected ventures will have access to up to $25,000 in grant funding, 5-month tailored technical support with experts, networking opportunities and access to events, access to market and industry resources, and exposure to potential investors and funding opportunities

AfriCircular Innovators Programme
The AfriCircular Innovators Programme is a pivotal initiative for advancing Africa’s circular economy. The programme plays a key role in invigorating the economic vitality of Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) a foundational pillars of Africa’s economy, constituting approximately 80% of its business landscape.

develoPPP Ventures Program
develoPPP Ventures program supports young companies with business models that improve living conditions in developing or emerging countries and are ready to scale up. With a matching-funds model, the program provides a grant of 100,000 euros for suitable growth investments.
