Junior Program Manager

As a junior program manager, you support the team in the successful implementation of our innovation programs. You work closely with the IHK team as well as collaborate and liaise with our program partners. This is a full-time position and you report to the Managing Director.

At Impact Hub Kigali we run programs to support early-stage entrepreneurs and build a strong and collaborative innovation ecosystem. Some examples of our programs include boot camps, hackathons, Design Thinking workshops, entrepreneurship training, and mapping exercises.


As an ideal junior program manager, you exhibit the following qualities and provide proof of the following experience:

● University graduate with 2-3 years of work experience in managing programs or
● Ability to work simultaneously on multiple programs on social entrepreneurship
and innovation
● Experience in the Kigali social/entrepreneurial sector
● Excellent oral/written communication skills
● Ability to think creatively and to work independently / take initiative
● Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders and able to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
● Highly responsible and committed to completing tasks in a timely manner
● Experience facilitating meetings, sessions, or workshops
● Attention to detail
● Fluency in English is required. The ability to speak French and/or a local language is highly preferred.
● Commitment of at least 1 year
● Passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability topics and
eagerness to learn and grow
● Knowledge of Design Thinking and human-centered-design approaches is a plus


As a program manager, you are responsible for ensuring our programs run smoothly, thereby executing a broad variety of tasks including program management, logistics, marketing and communications, and ecosystem engagement. At the same time, we would like your support in identifying new project opportunities and submitting proposals to continue growing our programs and consulting services.

● Liaise with the team and align on program implementation activities
● Coordinate program planning and delivery activities
● Regular check-ins with the team about programs’ progress
● Engage and coordinate with facilitators and mentors to support program
● Support in the facilitation of workshops and trainings
● Learn about training methodologies and innovation approaches to incorporate in
the program delivery
● Coordinate program logistics such as catering, transportation, venue, etc
● Research and identify opportunities for new programs/partnerships
● Write project proposals
● Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of program activities
● Network with the Kigali entrepreneurship community and stay up to date with
what is happening in the ecosystem

*Salary range: 750,000 – 1,000,000 RWF
